KingOfSoda.com

In 2003 I discovered Moxie after watching a segment on the Food network. This “new” soda opened my eyes to a world of different sodas that I had never heard of before. This site catalogs my ratings of each of these sodas. If you find any interesting sodas that are not on my list, I would love to try them. If you are interested in trying any of the sodas that I have here, let me know and I'll try to find one for you.

Tropical Cas

Tropical Cas : 4/6/2003: This Costa Rican drink was not bad! Smuggled to me by my friend, Gabby, this is derived from the Cas fruit. Not bad at all! It has a fruity taste not unlike that of a tropical lifesaver. 7 thumbs up!

Pom

Pom : 3/14/2003: Pretty good. This tastes almost like concentrated Raspberry juice. It's supposed to be healthy - I barely made it through the tear-drop-shaped bottle. I wouldn't ever need to drink another one, but I finished the bottle. It looks like it would stain if spilled on a shirt. It's pomogranite juice

Easily Boba Milk Tea

Easily Boba Milk Tea : 5/15/2003: Not bad at all. I'd give it seven thumbs up. It's almost like horchata. It's a milky tea with what tastes like cinnamon and nutmeg. The best part about the drink is its experience. Each tea comes in a sealed cup that you have to stab with your fat straw. You use this straw to drink the tea and the little "bobas" inside. These black spheres look like they might be chocolate, but they taste plain. They have the consistancy of gummibears. It's a good drink and a lot of fun. Thanks to Tim for getting one for me!

Kevin Koontz Rating: 4 - Okay, but I wouldn't drink this regularly.
Paul Manzanar Rating: 7 - If you like Thai tea and you like tapioca, you may like a boba drink. As I understand it, the boba balls at the bottom of the tea drink are supersized tapioca. The first time I was introduced to this drink I refused to even give it a try because I could not get a clear description of what boba was made of. Now I like it and will buy it when I can find it. It is best when mixed together soon after the boba have been made. I have never seen this sold from a shelf at a store; only at Asian tea cafes, and it is possible that is the only place it is sold. If you feel bold give it a try, you may like it.

Aloe Splash Pinapple Pear

Aloe Splash Pinapple Pear : 7/24/2005: Not nearly as bad as it smells. It has the taste of pinapple and pear. It has no calories, no carbs and is packed with aloe vera. Sweetened with splenda, you can really tell. Not my favorite. I do like its wide-mouth plastic bottle.

Aloe Splash Mountain Berry

Aloe Splash Mountain Berry : 7/30/2003: Not bad. It's purportedly healthy - no calories, no carbs, contains aloe. I can see what it won't do, but not what it will do. That's just semantics I suppose. The taste isn't bad. It reminds me of a juice box from when I was little. A little like Hi-C. I give it 6 thumbs up. It has a nice wide necked plastic bottle that's re-capable. It is also sweetened with "Splenda." That scares me. I've never heard of Splenda. If she's anything like O-Lean, I think I'll pass on another one if it's offered to me.
