Saranac Shirley Temple - 4 thumbs up.

Finally a soda that tastes like it should!  It has a powerful cherry taste.  If you like Shirley Temples, put this on ice and enjoy.  I am not such a fan as it has a flavor that tastes a bit too synthetic.

Jelly Belly Very Cherry - 6.5

It has a great cherry taste like drinking jelly belly jellybeans. Slightly lower score because I couldn't see myself drinking more than one of these before getting diabetes. Fantastic red coloring!

Stone Creek Red Cherry Soda

Stone Creek Red Cherry Soda : 4/23/2004: Not bad. Much better than the other Stone Creek sodas. It has a nice cherry flavor, but not much more to it. Clear plastic bottle. 7 thumbs up!

Stewarts Cherries n Cream

Stewarts Cherries n Cream : 3/26/2003: To quote Ralph Wiggum, "These berries taste like…burning." This tastes like watery Nyquil without the alcoholic feel. Only 4 thumbs up. Very little carbonation, which is okay. I do like their bottle which is both glass-pressed with their name and silk-screened. It is clear so that you can see what you're drinking.

Reeds Cherry Ginger Brew

Reeds Cherry Ginger Brew: 4/9/2003: Another of Reed's Ginger Brews. The cherry is not nearly as bad as the raspberry, but still not the best. My friend Lee says "It tastes like cherries, the twigs and the bark of the tree all ground up into a drink." Three thumbs up.

Since I am a fan of ginger, I add this comment to give another view of this soda. Reeds Cherry Soda has a sharp ginger bite like all their ginger sodas do. It is a nice variation to have the cherry flavor added. I like to sip Reeds sodas from a glass with ice on hot days. But please beware, if you do not like the flavor of ginger, you have no business trying to drink a Reeds

Red Ribbon Cherry : 6/15/2004: Not a bad cherry-flavored soda. 7 thumbs up. It has a nice red color to it. Just a typical refreshing cherry soda. 

Olde Philladelphia Vanilla Cherry

Olde Philladelphia Vanilla Cherry : 5/1/2003: This tastes like medicine, much like most cherry sodas, but thank goodness that Olde Philly likes to make their sodas numbingly mild. I'd give it 3 thumbs up.

Doc Browns Black Cherry Soda

Doc Browns Black Cherry Soda : 3/28/2003: Another of Dr. Brown's sodas. For black cherry lovers, I've been told that this can't be beat. Since I'm not a big fan of this flavor, it is often beat. I had about half of this soda. Nice bottle and all, but I can't properly rate it because of my taste preference.

Boylan Black Cherry

Boylan Black Cherry : 3/13/2004: Boylan's black cherry soda has a nice bottle, like its other sodas. It's uniquely pressed with its name and has a silkscreen label. It claims to be both sweet and tart on its label - and it's true. 7 thumbs up, and that's saying a lot for a black cherry soda!

Reviewed again on 7/25/2006: This tastes too much like medicine for me to enjoy it properly. It is nice that they don't force the black cherry flavor on the drinker, but either there's not enough carbonation or for some other reason it tastes too much like Nyquil.
