Chipper – 3 Thumbs up

You know that it's from the Middle East, or possibly from the 70s when you take a look at this pull tab.  It has a very strong lemon-lime carbonated flavor like a stronger 7-up.  This was not as strong as the sprite concentrate that I once tried in high school.  All the same, I'm not a big fan.

Netherlands Sprite - 4.5

While the bottle is cool and different, the flavor matches the US for Sprite. I'm not a big fan of this flavor but do like that bottle. Thank you to Larry at the Plaza Deli in Santa Barbara for this great soda!

Cap'n Eli's Lemon Lime - 8 Thumbs up

Cap'n Eli's Lemon Lime has a fantastic flavor. It is not too overwhelming and not too mild. Another great soda from Cap'n Eli!

Mr. Newport Lemon-Lime - 5

A self-proclaimed "delightful beverage" and "distinguished mixer" from the Filbert Bottling Co. in Chicago. This soda doesn't live up to its own headlines. It runs flat quickly during tasting and the taste fades quickly similar to a JuicyFruit gum. Yes it may be the cheapest item on the impulse buy rack at the grocery checkout, but it's never worth it.

Avery's Toxic Slime - 3

Avery's Toxic Slime only gets 3 thumbs up. It is not nearly as good as the Monster Mucus from the same company. It is supposed to be a nice lemon-lime with a funny color and label. Great color and label - the flavor needs work. Way too sugary and artificial-tasting. Still, a fun one for kids and Halloween parties.

Zenmaster Lemon-Lime

Zenmaster Lemon-Lime : 7/29/2005: It's an okay lemon-lime. Nothing special. I certainly don't feel the promised alpha brain wave enhancements that it promised. Just a basic lemon-lime.

Sun Drop

Sun Drop : 3/14/2004: Lindsay loves it. I think it’s okay. It's easy on the syrup, which is good for a lemon-lime soda. Too many lemon-lime sodas now days are too thick and gross. This one gets it right, but is otherwise not particularly special. 6 thumbs up.

Stone Creek Lemon Lime Soda

Stone Creek Lemon Lime Soda : 4/6/2004: This soda is sub par. I give it 4 thumbs up for its nice clear color. The taste is watery and unimpressive. A poor lemon-lime soda.

Stappj Gassosa

Stappj Gassosa : 3/29/2003: This “lemon flavored drink” is no more than mineral water. It comes in a 6.3 oz bottle – a little one. It's very cute, but it packs a punch when it comes to carbonation. I was burping all night. The flavor was truly European and I could live on not having another one. 4 thumbs up.

Real Brew Lemon Lime

Real Brew Lemon Lime : 8/6/2006: What happened to Natural Brew? They used to be Natural Brew. Looks like this soda is made out of Chico, CA. If only I could get a hold of some Winter Brew. This soda smells quite sour. The taste is similar. It is strong but then it goes away quickly. I can hardly taste the lime. Odd but not bad.

Both strong and watery, this is a strange, strange soda. Lindsay Rating: 5     - I agree this is an odd one. The lemon is quite strong when it first hits your tongue, I can't taste the lime at all, and then suddenly it just seems watered down. Not gross or anything, but I wouldn't seek it out to drink it again.

Mexican Squirt

Mexican Squirt : 6/7/2004: Much like the Mexican coke, this has a large, thick bottle. The taste, however, is mostly plain. Not much to it. It tastes similar to the squirt here in the US. Pleasant lemon-lime taste. 5 thumbs up.

Kickapoo Joy Juice

Kickapoo Joy Juice : 2/5/2005: This nostalgia drink is of the Real Soda family. Its lemon-lime taste is nothing special, but it's a nice, pleasant soda. Recommended to bring down the spiciness of chili.

Jones Lemon Drop

Jones Lemon Drop : 4/18/2003: This is like lemonade gone wild. It's a very good soda, but just a bit too tangy for my tastes. Perhaps if it was a bit sweeter and less sour, it would be perfect. It is unique, however. Not bad, though. 6 thumbs up. The best part about the soda is the label - each Jones bottle has a differen label with a picture of something random on it. Mine was 3 guys playing guitar.

Howies Lemon-Up

Howies Lemon-Up : 6/15/2003: This lemonlime drink made me a little nauseous. It has a taste similar to 7-Up (influence for the name?) but it's less syrupy. It certainly didn't make me want to drink more.

Green River Longneck

Green River Longneck : 3/14/2003: Great lemon-lime soda. Sorta like mountain dew in a big, green bottle. Originally made in Chicago 1919

Dr. Enuf

Dr. Enuf : 6/30/2003: This self-proclaimed energy booster tastes supisingly like flat 7up. It is rich in Thiamene Vitamin! Though, I didn't know I was low on Thiamene. I would give this 5 thumbs up. It's okay to drink, but I expect a little more zing from a lemon-lime.

Camlica

Camlica : 11/24/2007: This Turkish soda is great! I'm not usually into lemon lime sodas but this one is fantastic! Not too sweet, not too much flavoring, not too much carbonation. Definitely a good soda!

Bubble Up

Bubble Up : 4/17/2003: This tasted like Sprite with a little more citrus. It had less fizz, so that was good, but you can only do so much with a lemon-lime soda. 5 and a half thumbs up.

So it looks different than this one but anyway the one I had really tasted great, much better than 7up or Sprite and nobody has to tell you to obey anyone's thirst!
