Margos Dark Rootbeer - 9 thumbs up!

Excellent.
If you are looking for a dark rootbeer, then look no further. A big thank you to Ben Farber for bringing this to me from Santa Monica. Instead of cane sugar or HFCS, they use molasses which gives it that great dark taste.

Another great soda from the Pithy Little Soda Works out of San Luis Obispo!

Pure cane sugar is used and you can taste the difference. I have not been disappointed from one of their sodas yet. Thanks guys!

Cost Plus World Market Orange Passion Mango - 9

9 thumbs up for this awesome fruit drink. It's carbonated, so it barely qualifies as a soda. Still, it is delicious.

I tastes like strong grapefruit, which is good to me. Pick one up when you're at Cost Plus!

Zuberfizz CoCo Fizz

Zuberfizz CoCo Fizz : 4/29/2009: Finally a delicious chocolate soda! I've been waiting and this one was done right - it actually tastes like chocolate and is nice to drink! The perfect amount of chocolate smell, taste and carbontation. I highly recommend getting your hands on one. Thank you to Nic Nielsen for getting it for me from Durango, CO. It would appear that this was bottled and made for the Rocky Mountain Chocolate company.  

IBC Root Beer

IBC Root Beer : 3/13/2003: Great Rootbeer - quality stuff in the brown bottle. I was surprised to find them at Albertsons! I give IBC 9 thumbs up - this is the drink that I use to compare all of the other drinks to. Excellent in quality and presentation.

Fresca

Fresca : 7/1/2005: Fast approaching perfect, this nostalgia soda is said to have a "crisp citrus taste." No joke, it's a great taste that quenches the thirst and doesn't leave you feel too sugary. As far as sodas go, this soda's a lot better for you than the others. It's a sweet, but not too sweet taste. It's the first fruit drink to rise to the level of 9 thumbs up. On the east coast one can aparently get them anywhere tap water is distributed. On the west coast, I've only found them at Smart & Final for sale in bulk. Other than that, I found one recently at Taco Surf in Pacific Beach (San Diego), CA. It went great with my California Burrito (Chicken, hash browns, cheese, beans and rice). Fruit, USA

Mike Shinn Rating: 9 Average User Rating: 7.8 billy Rating: 5 - I like the lemon-lime refreshing tast of this soda, but still... so strong is the influence of the 1980's with the overpowering nutrasweet sensation that I had to mark it down. LaDonte King Rating: 6 - Unfortunately, I had to score this entry as a 6 due to the fact that it resembled more of a diet feel. I do in fact like that it was without the tastebud-trembling, much fear "diet soda aftertaste". Cherron Kofford Rating: 9 - I can't give it greatest soda ever made, since I haven't tried them all, but I've loved this soda ever since I stole a can from my grandpa when I was a kid. Bubbly and tangy--perfect! Lindsay Rating: 8 - Delicious, refreshing, and different than most typical sodas due to its citrus flavors. Peter Trinh Rating: 7 - I have seen several flavors lemon-lime (the pictured), black cherry, and peach. Mixed bag, depending on the flavor. I find it pretty different from the mainstream, but the taste of the artificial sweeteners DO show, hence the mark-down. You can actually usually get 2 of the 3 flavors over at Vons in Santa Barbara and Goleta (Turnpike, and Fairview respectively) Rating: 10 nathan Rating: 10 - r u kiddin' me? Fresca serves the higher purposes for which soda was intended.

Mexican Coca Cola

Mexican Coca Cola : 6/26/2003: Delicious! We should have this kind of coke in the US! It's slightly thicker, more syrupy, but that's great! It doesn't stick or anything, but goes down smooth. Also, the glass bottle that it comes in is thick also - thick glass. I give it a 9 for colas!

Coke with HFCS is nowhere near as refreshing as the real thing. That oily HFCS negates Coke's refreshing action. The only coke I now drink is the Mexican stuff I buy at costco. The only thing better is the Chinese version- slightly less sugar, so more of a refreshing bite. Danica Rating: 9

Boot Reer Root Beer

Boot Reer Root Beer : 12/31/2006: Delicious! Thanks to Al for bringing this to me from Gilroy. Boot Reer is truly "Butt Kickin Root Beer" as it says on the label. Delicious dark taste, almost a hint of chocolate. Giant 22oz bottle! Fantastic! Root Beer, USA

Al Day Rating: 9 - I am a huge fan of this root beer. The only reason it isn't getting a 10 is because I want to hold out hope for something even more incredible. But I don't think it's going to happen.
