From the UK this drink is far too sour and strong to be enjoyed.  Try this drink with a chaser because it leaves a terrible aftertaste.

Virgin Cherry Lee Black Cherry Cola

Virgin Cherry Lee Black Cherry Cola : 4/22/2006: Decent cherry cola taste, but a little too mediciny. Nice gray bottle, though. I would find something different the next time I tried for a cherry cola.

Virgin Blonde Vanilla Cola

Virgin Blonde Vanilla Cola : 7/8/2006: This takes me back - very similar to a vanilla coke from the olde-timey soda shoppes. Delicious! Great grey bottle also.

Virgin Black Cola

Virgin Black Cola : 9/15/2005: Virgin company (Virgin music, airplanes, etc.) has had a soda on the market for a while now but only recently have I found it for sale. Finally I got to drink Virgin Black. It has a decent, bold cola taste. Extra points for the unique silver non-transparent plastic bottle. Good fun.

"Give me a black virgin" or whatever color the label is. The drink itself isn't too impressive though. Try the other colors/flavors... they're not as disappointing.

Riggs and Forsythe Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock

Riggs and Forsythe Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock : 8/16/2008: Mention this soda to anyone from the UK and they get excited. Personally I don't see what the fuss is - it's just okay. It has a fruity aftertaste and is otherwise only okay. Kind of like a slightly fruity cola.

Riggs & Forsythe Dry Cola

Riggs & Forsythe Dry Cola : 5/28/2004: It's pretty wet - a liquid, that is. Not bad, but also not amazing. There's not much to it except for the neat Riggs & Forsythe bottle. Decent cola. 

Riggs & Forsythe Bitter Lemon

Riggs & Forsythe Bitter Lemon : 3/7/2004: This soda has a really neat bottle. It is ribbed all over the place and has the occasional artistic nic here and there. The label is placed on the clear bottle in a very nice and professional way. The bottle leaves you with the impression that this soda is high class. The taste is so-so. It's basically sparkling water with lemon flaovoring. Nothing special.  

Riggs & Forsythe Ariona Cassis

Riggs & Forsythe Ariona Cassis : 6/5/2004: Wow this was bad. I don't know what extract of fruit they used for this high-class drink, but it was aweful. I nearly vomitted.

Ribena Spark

Ribena Spark : 1/1/2004: This is a black currant drink. I've never eaten currants, but they must be grown in England. We found this drink in a British Shoppe in Santa Monica. It is a fruity drink of sorts - quite sweet. I don't know if I can drink a whole can, though. British cans are slightly shorter and fatter than our american 12oz cans. They also have not yet adapted to the widemouth openings that our american cans have taken on.

IrnBru : 8/16/2008: I first heard about this soda from the NPR article a few years ago and have wanted it ever since. Maybe this got my hopes up too high. This soda is bitter and a little fruity. It has a nice color but doesn’t live up to the hype. Originally IrnBru was accidentally brewed with Iron, hence the color and name.

However, it is not mine. This is the soft drink of Scotland. It reminds me of orange flavored bubble gum...it doesn't disgust me, nor does it send my taste buds into a state of ecstasy. It is best served ice cold.

Fentimans Mandarin and Seville Orange Jigger : 10/21/2006: Fancy name for a fancy soda. This soda was about 20% pulp! I had to shake well before pouring. Mour sour-smelling than tasting, but the taste isn't great.

Fentimans Curiosity Cola

Fentimans Curiosity Cola : 12/31/2006: I'm no longer curious except why they bothered. It's a dark soda but not a good one. Don't bother with this cola.
